Wrexham’s three most important players for the 25/26 season ranked
Every player will be vital for the Red Dragons next season but Parkinson knows that some are more influential than others.
Captain James McClean will be relied on heavily to use his experience of the division and keep the players upbeat when things may not go their way – Matty James also falls into this category.
On the pitch, Wrexham face some tough opposition and these three players are going to have to be at their best for the club to continue its progression next season.
3 – Arthur Okonkwo
Arthur Okonkwo is not daunted by the Championship and the goalkeeper has already proven he has the capabilities to excel at the level.
Danny Ward will be Wrexham’s number two and provide competition for Okonkwo but the former Arsenal youngster will thrive under the pressure.
Wrexham will be on the back foot in a lot of games next season and they will need their keeper to pull off some saves to earn vital points.
They have just the man in the sticks, with 19 clean sheets last season, the 23-year-old will be looking to continue his growing importance to the side.

2- Sam Smith
Sam Smith has a point to prove in the Championship after an unsuccessful stint in the division as a youngster.
Smith fired Wrexham to League One promotion with seven goals in the end of season run-in and following Paul Mullin’s departure to Wigan, he now becomes the main man up top.
He will be looking to form a partnership with Hardie and given that goals win points, Smith will be the main source of that for his side.
1- Max Cleworth
Max Cleworth credited Parkinson for his career development but it is the Wrexham boss who will be looking for his 22-year-old star to help him out next season.
Cleworth has been a rock at the back for the Red Dragons and his consistency in performances was a huge reason behind winning young player of the season.
Wrexham will come under pressure next season and Cleworth has to stand strong as part of a back three alongside Lewis Brunt and an experienced central partner.
Wrexham have offered a contract to Craig Dawson and he could be vital in allowing Cleworth to lead his side through the challenging waters of the division.
