As Wrexham contiue their rise up the EFL, more and more previously key players will have to make way.
The Red Dragons have had to make some very difficult decisions in the last couple of years, including letting eight players go in the summer of 2024.
Despite being a key part of their promotion from the National League and their captain, Ben Tozer left Wrexham for free to join Forest Green Rovers in 2024.
He is one of many stars to see his game time reduced before being shipped out of the Racecourse Ground in recent campaigns.
Even in the current season, James Jones left Wrexham for Burton Albion along with Anthony Forde after falling heavily down the pecking order.
More changes, especially if promotion to the Championship is secured, are likely in 2025 and it does look as though a change in midfield will take place.

Wrexham signing Tom Lawrence could force a midfielder exit
It has emerged this week that Wrexham want Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence on a free transfer when his contract runs out in June.
Lawrence is earning £22,000-a-week currently and would become one of the club’s highest-paid players if given a similar deal.
Wrexham have been crying out for another attack-minded midfielder for some time now, and Lawrence looks to be it.
However, it’s fair to assume that if the 31-year-old does sign, the Red Dragons will have to reshuffle their midfield ranks.
Ollie Rathbone should be a nailed-on starter next season, with George Dobson likely taking up a role next to him.
Lawrence and Elliot Lee would then likely be competing for the third and final place, leaving Matty James and Andy Cannon to act as back-up options for Dobson and Rathbone.
But much like 2024/25, that leaves very little room in the squad for George Evans.
Parkinson said Evans was ‘unlucky’ earlier this year due to the lack of minutes he has been able to garner.
But if Lawrence does sign, it seems likely that the 30-year-old with just 131 minutes in League One will need to be moved on.

Wrexham target Tom Lawrence called a ‘smashing talent’
Evans is under contract until 2026 with the option of a further year but given how little action he’s already seeing before the arrival of Lawrence, it does make sense for him to be sold if a transfer takes place.
On paper, the Rangers ace offers much more of an attacking threat from the centre of the pitch.
This is something Wrexham have been crying out for this season, especially when Lee hasn’t started matches.
Ex-Rotherham United manager Steve Evans previously labeled Lawrence a ‘smashing talent’, as per Sky Sports, when the pair were at the New York Stadium together.
The player has since gone on to achieve great things with various clubs and should upgrade Wrexham’s midfield if signed.
