Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson will be pleased with his squad’s performances in the US and will be assessing his options ahead of the 2024/25 League One season.
After impressive displays on the Wrex Coast tour, many Wrexham stars will be hoping they have done enough to remain in Phil Parkinson’s plans.
Parkinson will be pleased with the squad’s performance levels in the US, in particular with the new Wrexham summer signings impressing whilst out in the States.
Saying this – many existing Wrexham stars also impressed, with some grasping the opportunity to show their quality and force their way into the 56-year-old’s plans for the coming season.
One star included, who could be set to reignite his Wrexham career this season, is academy graduate Jordan Davies.

Could Jordan Davies feature in Phil Parkinson’s starting XI?
The Red Dragons have been very busy in the transfer window with five new players arriving in North Wales.
With the manager keen to add further arrivals to his squad, many fringe players had to use pre-season as a platform to show they have a future at the Racecourse.
Davies has struggled with his fitness in the past couple of seasons leading to his role in the team being diminished.
He was a key player for Parkinson in his early reign but has seen more action off the bench with Elliot Lee and Andy Cannon preferred as the attacking threat in midfield.
However, in pre-season, Davies started strong with two goals in Wrexham’s 5-1 win against Hanley Town.
Davies continued to look sharp in the US and managed to get himself on the scoresheet in Canada in Wrexham’s final tour fixture against MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.
The 25-year-old will be hoping he can remain fit and force his way back into Parkinson’s plans for the coming season.

Jordan Davies in make-or-break Wrexham season
The club is set to return to League One for the first time in 19 years. The level of quality in the league is expected to be high with the likes of Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town, and Rotherham United expected to be challenging for promotion to the Championship.
Parkinson has been keen to strengthen and has added former Charlton Athletic captain George Dobson to his midfield. Dobson will be an important member of the Wrexham squad after completing his reunion with the former Sunderland coach.
The Wrexham midfield is inflated with several options for Parkinson to consider. Davies will be hoping his pre-season performances have helped him convince the manager he should stay at the Racecourse for the coming season.
The coming campaign will very much be a make-or-break season for Davies if he wants to play regular football in North Wales.
If he can stay injury-free and regain his confidence, he will be a quality player to reintegrate into the starting XI more frequently.
Davies possesses a real goal threat from midfield and will be hoping he can show more of his quality in the coming League One campaign as he fights for his Wrexham future.
