Wrexham have attempted to tweak the age profile of Phil Parkinson’s squad over the last year and that will surely continue moving forward.

Much of Wrexham’s recruitment through the first two promotions of this era centred around signing proven, experienced players who could make an instant impact.
Deals for the likes of Paul Mullin, Ollie Palmer, Steven Fletcher, Elliot Lee and James McClean sum that up pretty well with Wrexham accelerating through the leagues.
The last year has seen Wrexham change the age profile of the squad though, focusing more on signings Under 25.
Arthur Okonkwo, Lewis Brunt, Sebastian Revan, Modou Faal, Josh Adam, Brad Foster and Ryan Longman have all joined at 25 or under with more of a focus on younger players.
Wrexham scouts should track Isaac Lee
Wrexham may now be more willing to bring in players for the developmental side as the club continues to grow.
Kolo Toure’s son Yassine Toure has featured for Wrexham in the Central League and more of these signings could materialise.
One name who could be in the mix is Isaac Lee with the Flint Town United defender attracting interest.
Reporter Pete O’Rourke claims that EFL clubs are now targeting Lee, viewing him as one for the future.
The 20-year-old defender stands at a huge 6ft 6in tall and has bounced around non-league clubs such as Ramsbottom United, Radcliffe, Prestwich Heys, Widnes and Stafford Rangers.
Now catching the eye with Flint Town United, Lee is a talent on the rise – right on Wrexham’s doorstep.
Wrexham is just about 35 minutes away from Flint and scouts have a great chance to go and check Lee out in the local area.
Wrexham have previously signed players from nearby Connah’s Quay Nomads, with the likes of Kai Calderdbank-Park and Adam Barton arriving over the years.
Lee is now turning heads and with the defender impressing just down the road, Wrexham at least need to take a look and see whether he would be worth bringing in as a long-term addition.
Lee Fowler on Isaac Lee
Lee is currently being coached by a familiar name at Flint Town United.
Former Wrexham midfielder Lee Fowler is in charge of the Cymru Premier side and is now overseeing Lee’s development.
Speaking on Flint Town United’s official website earlier this year, Fowler praised Lee as a ‘very talented’ player, thanking his board and chairman for securing his signature.
“I would like to thank the Chairman and the Board for helping us bring Isaac to the club on an 18 month deal. We feel we have recruited a very talented player, and it’s now up to us to help him unlock his full potential,” said Fowler.
Fowler hilariously responded on social media upon hearing that EFL clubs are chasing Lee though, joking that he would be lucky to join a pub side based on one recent performance.
Fowler wants Lee to just develop and let his football do the talking right now, believing that he still has plenty of progress ahead of him.
Jokes aside, those are wise words from Fowler and Wrexham should at least keep tabs on Lee’s development as he looks to grow under the former midfielder.
