Wrexham could spruce up their attacking options with the signing of one proven Championship star.
With the 2025/26 Championship season fast approaching, Wrexham are looking to bolster their chances by signing proven quality at this level.
Wrexham have already signed Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, and many more players are on the Red Dragons’ radar, with Phil Parkinson keen to add proven Championship experience.
Forwards are ultimately the priority for Parkinson after Paul Mullin departed Wrexham on loan, a move that will see the Red Dragons legend ply his trade for Wigan Athletic in League One.
Bearing Championship experience in mind, it would be no surprise to see Wrexham target one Premier League youngster this summer – he has already proven that he can shine in the second tier.

Wrexham should pursue a deal for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer
As young talents go, there aren’t too many that are quite as exciting as Crystal Palace star Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The winger found himself at Sheffield United last season and proved that he could be everything that Wrexham desires in a forward.
Possessing a potent goal threat, trickery and speed, Rak-Sakyi would transform the Wrexham frontline if they looked to bring him in, offering an extra dimension to the side.
Wrexham have solid options in the wide areas right now, including James McClean and Ryan Longman, but Rak-Sakyi offers the assurance of being able to consistently perform at this level, as was shown in his loan spell with the Blades last season.
Why Jesurun Rak-Sakyi may be open to Wrexham move
Whilst Rak-Sakyi showed his vast talent last season, it was arguably in small doses after he was inconsistently utilised by Chris Wilder.
In 46 Championship games, Rak-Sakyi only started 22 games, with the 22-year-old more often being utilised from off the bench in the latter stages of Sheffield United’s campaign.
As a result, Crystal Palace and Rak-Sakyi may believe that another season in the Championship is necessary for his development. With the ability that Parkinson has at Wrexham to nurture young talent, it could be a perfect match.
Wrexham need to move swiftly to bring in the talents they require, and adding Rak-Sakyi to the squad would be a brilliant move towards building a top Championship side.
