Wrexham are working hard on recruiting the right talent for Phil Parkinson’s squad ahead of the Championship campaign.
The club have announced the signings of Ryan Hardie and Danny Ward so far and supporters would have expected more arrivals before their pre-season trip to Australia.
Parkinson has hinted at further arrivals and has admitted that there will still be transfer discussions while the squad are away.
Having already allowed Paul Mullin to leave the club on loan, Wrexham’s next transfer business could see another key player at the club see his future cast in doubt.

Wrexham interest in Callum Brittain could impact Ryan Barnett’s future
Wrexham are interested in signing Callum Brittain from Blackburn Rovers and are willing to rival the likes of Middlesbrough for his signature.
Brittain has just a year left on his contract and is currently valued at around £2m, although that fee could drop with his current contract status.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed several successful seasons at Ewood Park establishing himself as a regular at right back.

Interest in Brittain will send alarm bells ringing in the ears of Ryan Barnett, who despite being named in the League One team of the season last year, lost his place at the end of the campaign.
January acquisition Ryan Longman replaced Barnett in the side during the second half of the season at right wing-back and Brittain’s arrival would push the Wrexham man further down the pecking order.
Barnett has been an integral part of the Red Dragons’ rise from the National League but has no experience in the Championship – something which will be of concern to Parkinson.
Wrexham’s sale of Ryan Barnett would demonstrate club’s progression
Parkinson believes Barnett is a ‘key player’ at Wrexham and alluded to the importance of the wing-back back in April.
With Barnett struggling for game time, Parkinson stated: “Barney’s a key player for us and has had a really good season, producing really key moments. Football’s about producing moments of quality when they are needed the most.”

| Barnett | 94 | 4 | 13 |
However, following promotion to the Championship, the manager may now see Barnett as a harsh sacrifice he may have to make in order to continue the club’s progression.
Wrexham can only name a 25-man squad for the season and the addition of Brittain would surely mean a tough decision would be pending over Barnett’s future.
At 25 and having had such a successful season in League One, the Red Dragons would fancy their chances of commanding a substantial fee should interest arrive in the defender.
