Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac were left blown away when the Red Dragons played at Wembley against Bromley in the 2022 FA Trophy Final.

Since taking control in 2021, Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have fully immersed themselves with the now-Championship club.

For what felt like an unknown when first taking over, the Hollywood pair’s lives were soon completely swarmed by Wrexham, and have since continued to show that love for the club and those connected to it.

It has been a period full of peaks for the club since Rob and Ryan took over, from the three successive promotions to making progress with the state-of-the-art Kop Stand being built.

On top of the success achieved by the club, they also performed at one of the biggest stages in world football, Wembley Stadium, which left both Rob and Ryan stunned.

How Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac reacted to Wrexham playing at Wembley

Wrexham reached the 2022 FA Trophy Final, where they faced off against Bromley at Wembley Stadium.

While the result did not go the way of the Red Dragons, having suffered a 1-0 crushing blow against Bromley, it still proved to be a brilliant occasion for the club.

When reflecting on the trip to Wembley, both Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac spoke about how stunned they were that Wrexham played at such a historic venue.

“I don’t think I really understood the weight of it until we stepped into that stadium,” said Ryan.

“We’re at Wembley, like, this is insane. People who spend their whole careers hoping to enter this stadium at some point with their club.”

Rob then said: “Wembley Stadium is hallowed ground. It was overwhelming in all the best ways.”

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac surely have the desire to notch Wembley success

It was a sour defeat for Wrexham to be handed after they lost the FA Trophy final to Bromley, and while there has been plenty of success in the league for the Red Dragons under Phil Parkinson, there is surely a feeling that the club wishes to eventually get a win at Wembley.

There are few better feelings in English football than a win at Wembley, something that fans of all clubs crave and hope for.

Even on a day that saw Wrexham suffer defeat, it still proved to be a memorable one for the club, town and the Red Dragons owners.

After a taste of Wembley, they will want to return there once again, and who knows, maybe Wrexham could make ground in the EFL Cup this season to make that a reality.
