Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have reportedly been looking for new investors, and to sell a share in their now high-profile club.
Coming up to four years since Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac stunned Hollywood and stunned football, by buying Wrexham, the pair have taken the club on an unlikely, but incredible journey.
Wrexham have won three-straight promotions and now find themselves in the Championship for the first time in more than 40 years.
Upon promotion from League One, it was reported that Wrexham are now worth more than £150million as a club, which is more than 7000% the £2million fee that Reynolds and Mac initially bought Wrexham for.
This summer, reports emerged claiming that Wrexham want to sell a stake worth £350million. It’s a huge sign of intent and of where Reynolds and Mac think the club is heading, but so far, it remains just those two, and the Allyn family.

Wrexham contacted by billionaires who want to invest
Thanks to a combination of things: the success of Welcome to Wrexham, the money flowing into Wrexham through sponsorships and commercial revenues, and the success that Phil Parkinson and the players have delivered on the pitch, the North Welsh club is now a global brand.
Their shirts are sold around the world and their club is watched by thousands, with reports that more than 5,000 households in the US have a Wrexham subscription of some kind.
And the club’s rise to stardom has led to multiple billionaires contacting Wrexham with regards to potentially investing in the club. It was even suggested that Saudi billionaire Turki Al-Sheikh could invest in Wrexham, as he’s looking to invest in English football.
That possibility went cold, but the possibility of Wrexham attracting more investors and even selling that mega £350million share might be all the more possible after the summer transfer window.

Wrexham’s £40m summer haul will work wonders on and off the pitch
This summer, Wrexham spent around £33million on new players, which will rise closer to the £40million mark when including add-ons.
It’s the third-highest spend of any Championship club this summer and the most spent in history by a Championship club that’s not just been relegated from the Premier League.
Per Transfermarkt, Wrexham’s squad value alone is worth £50million, without considering their incredible revenue streams: it’s been reported that Wrexham will make another £50million from commercial revenue and TV money this season alone.
Not only are Wrexham rising up the Football League at an incredible rate, but they’re building a club at an incredible rate too, and it’ll only make them a more and more attractive a potential investment for all these billionaires looking to get into football.
Along with the stadium expansion too, Wrexham have become a very attractive investment, and they continue to make that the case.
