Paul Mullin’s transfer to Wrexham will go down as one of the greatest in the club’s history.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took ownership of the Red Dragons in February 2021.
After an underwhelming end to 2020/21, the North American duo set about making wholesale changes to the club in the summer of 2021.
Their marquee addition that summer saw Paul Mullin join Wrexham on a free transfer from Cambridge United.
Mullin was a real statement signing, and Shaun Harvey has already explained why the striker decided to move.

Shaun Harvey on why Paul Mullin completed Wrexham transfer
2020/21 was a productive campaign for the now 30-year-old centre-forward.
Mullin finished as the top goalscorer in League Two and won promotion to the third tier with Cambridge United.
In turn, it made little sense for the Englishman to be dropping down to the National League.
But Harvey explained why Mullin joined Wrexham in July, outlining two key reasons the move was completed.
He said: “Mulls came out of contract at Cambridge having scored the goals to get them from League Two to League One. Mulls was one of those players who, on the back of that, was arguably going to get his biggest move to another club.
“And I think in Mulls’ circumstances, he was probably second or third choice on lots of different lists for lots of different managers at clubs in the Championship in League One and League Two, and there was a set of circumstances where all these teams effectively signed either their first choice or another choice who became available.
“Some of them were on loan from Premier League clubs where wages rapidly subsidised, so we got this position where Paul Mullin’s still in the marketplace, he shouldn’t have been in the marketplace with his record, but that set of circumstances got us to the point where we could try and sign Paul to come and play in the National League, and sold him the dream of what we were going to achieve at Wrexham.
“And Paul Mullin came to Wrexham A, because we made him a decent financial offer comparable with league clubs, but also he wanted to be back closer to the North West and Liverpool to play from home.
“If we had been based in Southampton, we could have offered him three times as much money, and he still wouldn’t have come. I genuinely think that’s the case.”

What Paul Mullin has said about playing for Wrexham again
The Liverpool-born forward went on to score 110 goals for the Dragons, playing a crucial role in their rise from the fifth tier to League One.
However, he fell heavily out of favour earlier this year and has now joined Wigan Athletic on loan.
Mullin wants to play in the Championship for Wrexham, and will have a year left on his contract when his current loan deal ends.
He said: “Just to play one game in the Championship at Wrexham would be worth absolutely everything, be the icing on the cake for this story, who knows where it could end.
“I’ve enjoyed absolutely every minute here.”
