Wrexham made wholesale changes to their squad during the 2025 summer transfer window.

The deadline for new signings has now passed, and a lot has changed in North Wales.

Wrexham made three signings on September 1, taking their overall tally to 13 for the summer.

Phil Parkinson’s next best XI is impressive and should be able to compete well in the Championship moving forward.

But with all the new signings, it means a number of previously key players have been moved on.

National League heroes such as Tom O’Connor, Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer have all departed, and we have now listed every player to leave Wrexham this summer and where they are now.

Every player who left Wrexham in 2025 summer transfer window

In total, a staggering 20 players have left the Racecourse Ground following their promotion-winning League One season.

Eight players, including Steven Fletcher and Mark Howard, were released at the end of June when their contracts expired.

Others, such as Mullin and Sebastian Revan, have been allowed to depart on loan and will return next year.

Meanwhile, there have been several permanent exits such as Palmer, Jack Marriott, and Will Boyle.

Wrexham Championship squad list

Despite all of the exits, however, Wrexham’s squad is too big for the Championship.

EFL rules dictate that teams can only register 25 players aged 21 or above.

After the close of the transfer window, Parkinson still has 29 players on his books who fall into that category.

It means four players will not be able to feature in the league from now until January 1, 2026, when the winter window opens and any player can be selected without registration.
