The summer transfer window has drawn to a close, and it was a very busy few months for Wrexham.

The Red Dragons headed into deadline day having already signed 10 new players this summer.

However, the arrivals did not stop there, with three more names being confirmed on September 1.

First up, Wrexham landed Ben Sheaf on a permanent basis from Coventry City, with a fee of £6.5m agreed.

Next, Issa Kabore was signed on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit Manchester City.

Finally, Wrexham agreed a deal for Dom Hyam of Blackburn Rovers, taking their deadline-day arrival count to three.

Wrexham 25-man Championship squad list to be confirmed

The new signings, of course, meant that several players would need to leave the club.

Tom O’Connor has moved to Peterborough United on loan, while Jacob Mendy left Wrexham for the Posh as well.

Elsewhere, George Evans’ contract was terminated so he could secure a free transfer to Burton Albion.

Even with said exits, however, the Red Dragons still have too many players to be registered in the Championship.

The EFL deadline for Wrexham to register their Championship squad is already set, as per the official rules outlined by the organisation: “44.9.3 Each Club shall submit its Squad List to The League:

“(a) within 24 hours of a Transfer Window; or (b) such other date and time as may be notified by the League.”

It means Wrexham have until 7pm on September 2 to submit their 25-man squad. Every player aged 21 or above must be registered, including goalkeepers. Any loan players signed, even if they are 20 or below, must also be registered.

Clubs are able to submit new squad lists after the winter transfer window, but a few names will be out of league action until January at the earliest.
