Wrexham only signed Ryan Longman during the January transfer window, but Phil Parkinson may already pursue another signing in that area.
Phil Parkinson has predominantly played with wing-backs in his reign as Wrexham boss, and we cannot see that changing any time soon.
Speculation suggests Wrexham may make a new signing on the left side, with a couple of targets emerging in the media.
Liverpool’s Owen Beck is on Parkinson’s radar, while Wrexham are keen on Empoli’s Liberato Cacace.
Few would have expected a signing on the right side, as Wrexham only signed Ryan Longman from Hull City in January.
Ryan Barnett impressed in the first half of last season and is looking to win his place back from Longman, but Wrexham are now eyeing another right wing-back.

Blackburn Rovers identify potential replacement for Wrexham target Callum Brittain
Reports earlier this week suggested that Wrexham are interested in Blackburn Rovers’ Callum Brittain.
Derby County and Middlesbrough were also named in the race for Brittain, who has just one year left on his Rovers contract.
Rovers do not want to lose Brittain, but a hefty Wrexham offer could tempt them into selling this summer.
Sky Sports now claim that Rovers want Hull City’s Cody Drameh, but only if Brittain moves on.
Drameh has attracted plenty of interest this summer, and Hull’s recent transfer restrictions mean a deal could materialise.
This all hinges on Brittain and whether the 27-year-old decides to engineer a move away from Valerien Ismael’s side.
Wrexham may really push for a deal to sign Brittain, which would bring real questions over the roles in mind for Longman and Barnett.
Ex-Arsenal talent set for Blackburn Rovers
Rovers are also poised to sign a new right-back in former Arsenal talent Ryan Alebiosu.
The Lancashire Telegraph report that Rovers will sign Alebiosu in a £500,000 move from Belgian side Kortrijk.
That deal may leave Wrexham fans to believe that a deal for Brittain is at least in the pipeline.
However, Rovers have been seeking cover and competition at right-back and wanted to sign another player there, regardless of Brittain’s future.
Alebiosu is that player, so his imminent arrival at Ewood Park is not expected to impact Wrexham target Brittain.
