Wrexham and Birmingham City are striking up quite the rivalry both on and off the pitch.
Tom Wagner thinks Wrexham are not on Birmingham’s level as both sides continue to show ambition following their promotion to the Championship.
The Blues got the better of Wrexham on the pitch last season taking four points from the two league fixtures and have started the season better than the Red Dragons with a draw and a victory so far.
In the transfer market Birmingham are rivalling Wrexham for Lewis Koumas and the Liverpool youngster is not the first player to be subject to a boardroom tussle between the two clubs.

Wrexham and Birmingham have had many transfer battles this summer
Given that both clubs are ultimately aiming to reach the Premier League, Wrexham and Birmingham have been involved in a number of transfer battles this summer.
Birmingham signed Tommy Doyle to get the better of their Welsh rivals at the start of the summer, however, Wrexham believe they still have the edge in the battle to sign Koumas given his family connections to the town.
Wrexham got the upper hand with one of their record transfers this summer as Birmingham were interested in Lewis O’Brien before the midfielder made the switch to North Wales.
| Every player linked with Wrexham and Birmingham this summer | Current club |

Not every player that both clubs have been interested in have ended up at St Andrews or the Racecourse, Harry Darling is impressing for Norwich after rejecting offers from both Birmingham and Wrexham.
There are still players available on the market that both clubs have expressed an interest in signing. Birmingham were rivalling Wrexham for Craig Dawson on a free transfer.
Lee Hendrie also believes Jamie Vardy should sign for Birmingham amid the former England striker being linked with both Championship rivals.
Wrexham and Birmingham owners have earned plaudits this transfer window
Whilst there is a rivalry brewing between the two clubs, it is fair to say that both sets of owners deserve huge praise for the ambition shown in the transfer window.
They are accumulating squads that can be very competitive in what is arguably one of the toughest leagues in the world.

There is also a huge amount of respect between the two sets of owners, Wagner has praised Reynolds and McElhenney for the job they are doing in building the community around the club.
Reynolds is a huge fan of Tom Brady, so whilst the rivalry continues to bubble away, there is a lot of respect and admiration between the two clubs.
