Humphrey Ker has admitted Wrexham will need to spend in order to compete in the second tier with the likes of Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich.

Wrexham interested in Cardiff duo
It has been a busy start to the summer for Parkinson’s side following their historic promotion, the players have been in Las Vegas, whilst a number of transfer links have been touted.
Wrexham are interested in Harry Darling from Swansea and are also said to be tracking Maksym Talovierov from Plymouth Argyle.
Interest in Robinson was first reported just hours after promotion was sealed but TBR Football’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey has told Wrexham Insider the club are interested in other Cardiff stars.
Bailey stated: “Wrexham are also aware of Cardiff duo Ollie Tanner and Isaak Davies – both players are on their radar.”
How Ollie Tanner and Isaak Davies would fit into Wrexham plans
Should Wrexham pull off the double deal of Tanner and Davies, it could indicate a slight change of approach from Wrexham next season.
Tanner is an out and out winger that prefers the right-hand side but can play on the left. However, Parkinson’s 3-5-2 system would not really suit the talents of the 23-year-old.
| Cardiff record this season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Tanner | 31 | 2 | 3 |
| Davies | 10 | 2 | 0 |
The acquisition of centre forward Davies could have a huge impact on the futures of Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer as the Red Dragons are becoming bloated in the striker position.
Steven Fletcher’s contract decision must be made by May 17th and the signing of Davies could indicate the club’s stance on giving the veteran forward a new deal.
