Wrexham have seriously bolstered Phil Parkinson’s squad in recent weeks and may have been given a boost over another potential signing.
The League One season is fast approaching and Wrexham need to be ready for action.
Phil Parkinson and co have achieved back-to-back promotions but there is a real target on Wrexham as the club’s rise continues.
Wrexham simply had to find major recruits this summer and the early business has been encouraging.
Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has penned a permanent deal after a superb loan spell last season whilst defender Lewis Brunt has come in from Leicester City.
Brunt impressed on loan at Mansfield Town last season and now provides great depth across the back line at Wrexham.
Wrexham added a third summer singing on Saturday with midfielder George Dobson arriving on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic.

Wrexham receive Tom Bradshaw boost
Parkinson still wants further signings though and a striker may be a priority.
Steven Fletcher is staying at the club but it’s unclear just how much he will be playing next season as he approaches the end of his career.
Wrexham have also been dealt a major blow with Paul Mullin ruled out of the pre-season tour to the United States as he recovers from surgery.
More attacking options may be required and Wrexham already have a target in mind.
Reports suggest that Wrexham are keen to land Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw with the Welsh international wanted at the STōK Cae Ras.
Millwall may not have been too keen on the idea of allowing Bradshaw to leave without a replacement, but the Lions have now signed a striker.
As luck would have it, they have snapped up a striker who is very, very familiar to Wrexham fans.
Millwall have confirmed the signing of Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff, agreeing a deal worth around £700,000 plus add-ons.
The 27-year-old has smashed 71 goals in 97 games for Notts County and is now given a chance to shine at Championship level.
Langstaff’s move may now free up Bradshaw to move on with Millwall surely willing to cash in as the Welshman enters the final years of his contract.
Wrexham will surely be making calls to Millwall to see if a deal is now possible, with old nemesis Langstaff potentially helping Wrexham in the transfer market.
Macaulay Langstaff move ruled out
Langstaff was a real thorn in Wrexham’s side during the National League days.
Wrexham won promotion in 2023 but Langstaff was a menace for Notts County, smashing 42 league goals to leave Wrexham in a nail-biting title race.
“God that guy is good,” said Ryan Reynolds on Welcome to Wrexham, sharing his admiration for Langstaff.
Wrexham were even interested in Langstaff; The Wrexham Insider understands that he was on the club’s transfer wish list heading into the summer.
A Championship transfer has now ruled out that prospect but his move may only push Bradshaw a step closer to Wrexham as Parkinson looks to strike another incoming deal.
