A manager has now spoken out regarding a player linked with a summer transfer to Wrexham.
Wrexham have so far completed two new signings during the 2025 summer window.
Ryan Hardie cost £70,000, signing from Plymouth Argyle for £1.3m less than his release clause due to the Greens suffering relegation to League One.
Their second signing was then confirmed last week when Danny Ward joined on a free transfer.
More arrivals are expected, with Wrexham close to a move for Lewis O’Brien, but they are having problems with his wages.
Meanwhile, Jamie Vardy has been linked to the Red Dragons since he made the decision to leave Leicester City.

Russell Martin comments on Wrexham-linked Jamie Vardy
Rumours that Vardy could move to the MLS emerged earlier in the summer transfer window.
More recently, it was reported that Burnley are interested in the Wrexham target after their promotion to the Premier League.
And now, after links to Scottish powerhouse Rangers, the Gers’ new boss, Russell Martin, has been quizzed on a move for the former England international.
He remained coy on a deal, but said ‘I guess you’ll find out who’s real and who’s not in the next few weeks,’ as per BBC Sport.
Martin stated: “I think I’ve been asked about so many players.
“Some miles away, some on the money. So, basically, I’m not going to give you an answer on that.
“But I guess you’ll find out who’s real and who’s not in the next few weeks.
“I think we definitely want to do more, for sure. And also probably some players need to move on as well at some point because the squad’s going to start looking very big and very heavy.”

What Jamie Vardy wants from his new club
Rangers can offer Vardy European football, and Burnley, of course, are now in the Premier League.
But a recent report from the Telegraph has shared an insight into what the hitman wants from his new club.
And it’s believed that the amount of playing time he’ll get will factor into his next move.
Of the three clubs mentioned, Vardy does seem most likely to earn regular minutes at Wrexham during 2025/26.
