Wrexham are set to complete their 11th transfer of the summer window on Monday, with a medical now underway.
Wrexham have signed 10 players this summer so far but two more additions are expected at the Racecourse Ground, at least.
It was reported over the weekend that The Dragons were close to signing Ben Sheaf from Coventry City.
The Welsh side are said to be paying somewhere in the region of £6.5m for the midfielder.
Now, an update on Wrexham’s pursuit of Sheaf has emerged on September 1.

Ben Sheaf Wrexham medical
Sheaf has impressed Declan Rice previously, having shone for Coventry City in an FA Cup meeting with Manchester United in 2024.
Arsene Wenger was a fan of the 27-year-old during his time at Arsenal as well.
Now, it has been stated that Sheaf is undergoing his medical in North Wales on Monday.
It is reported that he is signing a three-year contract with Wrexham, who will have the option of extending the deal by a further 12 months.
Anthony Joseph wrote: “Coventry City defensive midfielder Ben Sheaf is undergoing a medical ahead of his £6.5m move to Wrexham. It’s understood the 27-year-old has agreed terms on a three-year contract, with the club to hold option to extend by a further year.”
Issa Kabore to Wrexham update
As well as Sheaf, Wrexham are moving for Issa Kabore of Manchester City.
We revealed earlier today that the player had interest from several European sides but is moving to the Racecourse.
Now, Kabore is also undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed transfer to Wrexham.
Joseph tweeted: “Wrexham are close to agreeing a deal to sign Manchester City right-back Issa Kabore. It’s understood the clubs are discussing a season-long loan deal for the 24yo. Kabore is undergoing a medical in preparation for the move being sanctioned.”
