A former Wrexham man has joined a new club this week, it has been confirmed.
Wrexham have made big changes to their striker department over the last several years.
In the summer of 2025, four of their previous key centre-forwards all departed.
Paul Mullin joined Wigan Athletic, Ollie Palmer is now at Swindon Town, Jack Marriott signed for Reading, and Steven Fletcher has retired.
That quartet all scored plenty of important goals to help Wrexham on their rise up the EFL under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Now, another former number nine has moved to a new club this weekend.

Billy Waters joins new club
Billy Waters joined Wrexham from Barrow for an undisclosed transfer fee in 2023.
The 30-year-old endured a difficult stint at the Racecourse Ground, however, playing just eight matches and scoring zero goals.
Wrexham loaned the 30-year-old to Halifax Town at the start of 2024/25 before allowing him to secure a free transfer to Oldham Athletic in January.
Now, Altrincham have announced on Saturday that they have signed Waters on loan for the remainder of 2025.
They confirmed the news in an official statement on their website, writing: “Experienced centre forward Billy Waters has joined the Robins on loan from League Two Oldham Athletic until January.
“The 30-year-old, pictured by Jonathan Moore playing against Alty for Oldham in February, goes straight into Phil Parkinson’s squad for today’s Enterprise National League clash at Wealdstone.”
Yes, you read that right, Altrincham’s manager is also called Phil Parkinson.
On signing Waters, he said: “I’m really pleased we’ve been able to bring in a player of Billy’s quality and experience. He’s a proven goal scorer at this level and I feel he’s exactly what this group needs at this time.”

Altrincham play their football in the National League, a division Dragons fans will be more than familiar with.
They have had a slow start to 2025/26 and were teetering just above the relegation zone before the weekend’s action.
Waters is not the only former Wrexham man eyeing success in the fifth tier this season.
Luke McNicholas is in great form for Forest Green Rovers, who sat top of the National League going into the latest gameweek.
Ex-centre-back Aaron Hayden is also eyeing promotion with Carlisle United, who were third before the 3pm games kicked off.
