Wrexham could be in store for a potentially busy transfer window this month.
Wrexham made some impressive signings last summer, bringing names like James McClean, Will Boyle, and George Evans to the club among others.
But the Dragons didn’t break the bank following their promotion from the National League.
Their spending and recruitment was more conservative than most expected, though it’s since proved to be effective recruitment with the club flying high in League Two.
Phil Parkinson curently finds his side in 3rd place of the table after a convincing 4-1 win over promotion rivals Barrow last time out, with a trip to Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in the agenda for tomorrow.
And ahead of tomorrow’s game, Parkinson has revealed the latest on the Wrexham transfer front.
Phil Parkinson says Wrexham are ‘looking at several options’
Speaking to The Leader, Parkinson said on the transfer situation at Wrexham:
“We’re looking at several options but we’ve got a decent squad as it stands, we want to make sure if we bring a player in obviously it’s not just for the sake of adding another player, it’s someone who we feel can make a difference to the group we’ve got.”
Parkinson added:
“Of course if the right player becomes available at the right price, we’ve got the option to go and add to the squad but we’ll only do that if we feel it’s the right move for the squad.”

Strikers looking like the priority for Parkinson
Wrexham currently boast the third-best scoring record in the league having netted an impressive 52 goals in their opening 25 league fixtures this season.
But the club have largely relied on the goals of midfielder Elliot Lee who’s on 13, though Paul Mullin is catching up with nine to his name.
Ahead of this month though, multiple reports linked Wrexham with potential striker additions, with names like Lee Gregory and Jonson Clarke-Harris both linked.
Defensively, Wrexham are quite poor having already conceded 36; Mansfield Town in 2nd have conceded just 19.
So defensive additions may be in the mind of Parkinson, but going off recent reports, it seems like Wrexham might try and bulldoze their way to League One by scoring as many goals as possible.
And it’s working for them so far this season.
Tomorrow’s game vs Shrewsbury kicks off at 2pm.
