Wrexham have now secured three summer signings and boss Phil Parkinson is looking to strike further deals in the market.

Promotion to League One left Wrexham needing a number of signings in order to cope with the step up in class.

It took a little while but Wrexham have now started to strike some impressive incoming deals.

Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo leads the way in terms of being the biggest coup yet, penning a permanent deal after a superb loan spell at Wrexham last term.

Defender Lewis Brunt followed joining on a permanent basis from Leicester City to offer real versatility across the back line.

Wrexham added another new face last weekend, confirming the arrival of midfielder George Dobson on a free transfer.

That blend of up-and-coming talent alongside a proven League One player in Dobson is just what Wrexham needed – but more signings are still to come.

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham signings

The League One kick-off is just about a month away and Wrexham still need more reinforcements.

Phil Parkinson is about to ramp up his pre-season preparations as his Wrexham side take on non-league Hanley Town this weekend.

That will be a great chance for Wrexham players to accelerate preparations ahead of jetting off to the United States.

Transfer business may slow down a little whilst Wrexham head stateside, so there may be a focus on getting deals done quickly in the coming days.

Parkinson has now been asked whether there is a possibility that more signings can arrive at Wrexham before the Hanley Town clash.

Speaking to The Leader, Parkinson offered a five-word response – and a possible hint that Wrexham are working on more deals.

“I wouldn’t rule it out,” said Parkinson.

That will spark hope of more arrivals before Saturday, but Wrexham will have to get a move on if that is to materialise.

Who could become Wrexham’s next signing?

Wrexham still have some areas to address this summer.

Another left wing back is likely to be a focus for Parkinson, with Wrexham no doubt looking at competition for Jacob Mendy and James McClean.

Free agent Tom Pearce is understood to be a target for Wrexham having left Wigan Athletic at the end of his contract this summer.

Wrexham only signed Dobson a few days ago but another midfielder wouldn’t be out of the question.

Luke Young’s exit and doubts over the future of Jordan Davies may just tempt Wrexham to land another midfielder – especially with Thomas O’Connor likely to play as more of a defender moving forward.

Jamie Lindsay, Marc Leonard and Joe Morrell have all been linked with Wrexham and are names to watch.

Wrexham have suffered a blow with Paul Mullin potentially set to miss the opening weeks of the season having undergone surgery.

That may leave Wrexham to consider a new striker and some names have been mentioned in recent times.

Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw is thought to be a Wrexham target whilst Stephen Humphrys – who left Wigan Athletic alongside Pearce – was linked earlier in the summer.
