Wrexham have completed signing number two of the summer and boss Phil Parkinson is now pushing for more additions ahead of the League One kick-off.
Wrexham have mostly focused on signing proven, experienced performers in the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era.
That transfer approach has helped Wrexham accelerate through the leagues at rapid pace, achieving back-to-back promotions last season.
Now preparing for life in League One, Wrexham have gone down a slightly different route with the first two signings of the transfer window.
Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and defender Lewis Brunt have both arrived with major potential at 22 and 23 respectively.
Wrexham appear to be adding players who can develop and become potential stars at the STōK Cae Ras – and Phil Parkinson wants more signings.

Phil Parkinson offers Wrexham transfer update
Okonkwo and Brunt is a perfect start; a quality goalkeeper and a promising defender who can play in multiple positions.
Wrexham still need more new faces though with midfield reinforcements needed after Luke Young’s departure this summer.
The wing back spots may be a focus, more defensive depth is required and another striker may be needed amid Paul Mullin’s injury.
There is still plenty of business for Wrexham to do and boss Parkinson has offered an update.
Parkinson has told BBC Sport Wales that Wrexham are in talks with ‘several clubs’ and ‘several players’ right now.
Parkinson feels that Wrexham’s targets are ‘really good players’ and he believes that a few more signings can be pushed over the line.
The Wrexham boss is under no illusions; League One will be incredibly tough and Wrexham need real squad depth to cope with the step up in quality.
“We’re in talks with several clubs, several players,” said Parkinson. “We’ve targets that are really good players and I’m hopeful we can get a few more over the line. We’re not where we want to be yet. We’ve got work to be done but we know that.”
“For every deal that gets over the line there’s others in the background we’re working on, and hopefully we’ll add more quality into the squad before the start of the season.
“It’s going be a competitive division like it was last year in League Two and this is going to be no different. We’ve got to make sure we’re ready and the squad’s not just got the quality but it’s got the depth as well. That’s our intention and we’re working extremely hard to achieve that,” he added.
The latest Wrexham transfer rumours
This has been a very Millwall-heavy week in terms of the Wrexham transfer rumour mill.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Wrexham are interested in snapping up Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw.
The Wales international is believed to be on the Wrexham radar and fits the mould of being a more proven goalscorer for Parkinson to bring in.
Another rumour suggested that Wrexham fancy signing Hull City’s Ryan Longman – who spent last season on loan at Millwall.
Longman can play as a wing back or winger on either flank and that versatility could be very valuable to Parkinson.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion talent is only 23 too, so he would make sense as Wrexham target some younger players.
A third Millwall rumour emerged too as Lions defender Wes Harding was linked with a move to Wrexham.
The Jamaica defender – who featured at Copa America earlier this week – can offer versatility at centre back, right back and right wing back.
A deal may be tricky as Millwall don’t want to let him go without bringing in new faces of their own, but Harding is a name to keep close tabs on as Wrexham chase more signings.
