Wrexham suffered defeat on Tuesday night with Phil Parkinson left with much to think about after losing 3-2 to Stevenage.
Wrexham may have struggled on the road this season, but were always able to fall back on a truly sensational home record.
A trip to the STōK Cae Ras has been a nightmare journey for many League One sides this season but Stevenage bucked the trend.
Alex Revell’s side did a real number on Wrexham and were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes before eventually winning 3-2.
Wrexham started the game poorly and whilst the second half was better, there just wasn’t the usual fight and intensity we have become used to seeing.
Wins for Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town leave Wrexham lagging behind in the League One promotion race and Phil Parkinson has much to contemplate.

Phil Parkinson sends Wrexham transfer message
Wrexham now don’t have a home game for more than a month and need to find some results on the road.
Parkinson has hinted at big changes against Crawley Town this weekend but he will also have the transfer window on his mind.
Monday night will see the transfer window slam shut and Wrexham still need more additions.
Ryan Longman signed for Wrexham on Friday but the wide man is Parkinson’s only addition so far this month.
Wrexham need more quality in order to catch up in the League One promotion race and Parkinson wants key additions.
Speaking to The Athletic, Parkinson admitted that Wrexham are still trying to make new signings despite Longman’s arrival.
Parkinson added that Wrexham know the business required but will still be confident in his group of players even if no deals are done.
“We know what we’d like to do,” said Parkinson.
“We are trying to bring players in. If we do, great. But if we don’t, then let’s regroup together. We’ve got enough quality in there to have a successful season. Tonight we just didn’t show that,” he added.

Where could Wrexham make signings?
Reports heading towards January suggested that Wrexham wanted to sign a new striker.
That hasn’t happened yet, though Longman can operate as a forward if needed.
Wrexham have made an approach for Michael Smith but signing the Sheffield Wednesday striker won’t be easy.
Wrexham need to have alternative striking options in mind with another goalscorer potentially vital.
We would still like to see another creative midfielder arrive to take some pressure off Elliot Lee.
Wrexham were a little toothless against Stevenage and with Lee turning in a disappointing display, another option to link midfield to attack would be ideal.
Maybe another loan goalkeeper will be eyed with Callum Burton potentially out for the season, but additions in the final third must be the priority.
