Wrexham are expected to do some form of transfer busy in the upcoming 2025 winter window.
Wrexham recruited well over the summer, bringing nine new faces to the Racecourse Ground.
With his improved squad, Phil Parkinson has the Red Dragons competing at the top end of League One and no doubt eyeing a third successive promotion.
However, as is often the case, Wrexham have been dealt some blows in the opening stages of the campaign that have caused them to act in the transfer market.
With George Evans a long-term absentee, the recently promoted side dipped into the free agent market to acquire the services of Matty James, who will provide cover in midfield.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson made his debut vs Harrogate Town on Sunday after he also recently signed for the Welsh outfit on a free.
Dadi Bodvarsson has come in following a big blow to Jack Marriott, who is now facing four months out injured.
With the former Bolton Wanderers ace only under contract until January, however, Wrexham may need to bring in more striking reinforcements in January.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds must sign Elliot Lee cover
However, after Wrexham were knocked out of the FA Cup by Harrogate Town on Sunday, it is clear Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds should have a new transfer priority this winter.
Elliot Lee has been a revelation for the Red Dragons since he joined in 2022 but at present, Parkinson has very little natural cover for him.
Wrexham paid £500,000 for Ollie Rathbone during the 2024 summer transfer window and he has acted as cover for Lee in the more advanced midfield role so far this term.
However, BBC pundit Kevin Ratcliffe thinks Parkinson needs something different to Rathbone after the Englishman once again struggled when filling in for Lee against Harrogate.
Rathbone is much better suited to operating in a box-to-box role but has been forced to play further forward due to Wrexham’s lack of options in midfield.
Lee has only failed to start one League One tie in 2024/25, which his side lost against Stevenage. And after the Harrogate defeat in the FA Cup, it is clear Wrexham falter without him and must sign a replacement soon.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds stance on Wrexham January signings
The January transfer window is always tricky to operate in and clubs are very rarely keen to part with their best players midway through a campaign.
But The Wrexham Insider understood the Hollywood duo are likely to make signings on one condition.
McElhenney and Reynolds are expected to release more finances for Wrexham as long as the club remain in the hunt for automatic promotion come December.
Wrexham are currently third in League One and just one point adrift of the top two going into the next round of games.
