Wrexham have enjoyed an excellent start to 2024/25 but fans are probably hoping to see some new faces through the door in January.
The Red Dragons are currently third in the League One table, sitting one point outside of the automatic promotion places.
It has been a really positive start to life in the third tier for Wrexham, who could secure a third-straight promotion come May.
However, while things are going well right now, there could be a couple of problems come January.
With Jack Marriott injured for four months and Steven Fletcher also picking up a problem and no longer at his best, Wrexham signed Jon Dadi Bodvarsson on a free transfer late in October.
With Phil Parkinson lacking depth in midfield as well owing to a long-term George Evans injury, Matty James was also brought in for free.
However, both players have only moved to the Racecourse Ground on short-term contracts and will be free agents once more at the start of 2025.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds January transfer plans for Wrexham
As a result, Wrexham are once again expected to be short of striker and midfield options come the winter window when Bodvarsson and James’ deals run out.
In turn, fans are likely hoping to see a couple of new signings made once the January transfer window gets underway.
Now, The Wrexham Insider have learned what Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are planning to do come the winter.
Our sources understand that the potential holes in midfield and upfront are something Wrexham will address in December.
While automatic promotion was not the target at the start of the season, if the club are still in top-two contention as we head toward January, McElhenney and Reynolds are expected to release more finances.
The Wrexham owners will assess the situation, but it is clear where they are in the league will dictate to an extent how much finances are released because while the Hollywood duo are willing to spend money, they still make sensible decisions.
As a result, a quiet window should be expected if Wrexham fail to keep pace with the League One leaders but right now, a few new faces could still arrive in January.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds know how likely Wrexham are to win promotion
While we are just 13 games into the 2024/25 League One season, McElhenney and Reynolds already know how likely Wrexham are to win promotion.
From their opening league fixtures, the Red Dragons have, so far, averaged 1.92 points per game.
This means that Parkinson’s men are currently on course to end this campaign with 88 points.
And in a big boost for the club, teams who have finished second in the division have, since 2004/05, averaged 88 points.
This is great news for Wrexham and does suggest that their owners will be happy to spend more in January if they keep up their current pace.
