Wrexham continue to chase new signings this summer and may now move to bring a familiar face to the STōK Cae Ras ahead of the League One kick off.
Wrexham simply had to bring in a number of new signings having progressed for the National League to League One at rapid pace.
Arthur Okonkwo marked a ‘brilliant’ start to the summer recruitment before Wrexham managed to beat Mansfield Town to the signing of Lewis Brunt.
George Dobson was the next to arrive, reuniting with former teammates Eoghan O’Connell, Elliot Lee and Ollie Palmer in the process.
Wrexham then added goalkeeper Callum Burton and left back Sebastian Revan, bringing Phil Parkinson’s total for the summer to five signings.
The League One season is less than three weeks away from its big start and Wrexham are still chasing new additions to Parkinson’ squad.

Rob McElhenney on Wrexham target John McAtee
HITC now claim that Wrexham are interested in signing Luton Town playmaker John McAtee.
McAtee is also wanted by Plymouth Argyle as he prepares to finally start his Luton Town career.
The 24-year-old – formerly of Shrewsbury Town and AFC Telford United – signed for Luton back in 2022 but was loaned straight back to Grimsby Town.
McAtee was superb on loan at Barnsley in League One last season, racking up 12 goals and four assists in 40 appearances.
Wrexham are now keen and some will remember his time at Grimsby.
McAtee hit 14 National League goals and notably scored a superb curling strike in a 5-4 Grimsby win against Wrexham in the playoffs back in 2022.
Wrexham co-chairman Rob McElhenney made his thoughts on McAtee clear having spoken on the Grimsby documentary series ‘All Town Aren’t We’.
“Ah, ****** McAtee, this guy… this guy is so good. He killed me!” said McElhenney.
We can’t imagine that McElhenney is recommending signings to Parkinson, but it’s fairly clear that he would support a move for McAtee having been so impressed with him at Grimsby.
It’s not even as if McAtee just dazzled at National League level; he has excelled in League One too.
McAtee is the kind of player who can make a big impact for Wrexham – and he appears to have been on the radar for a while.
‘Welcome to Wrexham’ hint on McAtee
McElhenney has praised McAtee on one documentary series and Wrexham may have already hinted at interest in him on another.
In season one, episode 13 of Welcome to Wrexham, McAtee’s name appears on a whiteboard inside Parkinson’s office.
Whilst Parkinson is speaking to Cameron Green about a Wrexham exit, a list of names can be seen behind Parkinson.
Tom Nichols, Joe Powell, Conor McAleny and even Celtic ace James Forrest were on the list alongside McAtee.
A move for Forrest surely wasn’t realistic in the National League; even a deal in League One would take most by surprise.
This at least suggests that Wrexham have had McAtee on the wish list for a while though and this summer may be the time for Parkinson to strike.
