Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been told exactly what to do with one Wrexham star who is out of contract soon.
Wrexham have climbed up to League One in just two seasons thanks to the backing of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
While this is great for the club as a whole, it does mean a number of players have already been let go or are facing uncertain futures as Phil Parkinson looks to build a squad capable of winning promotion from League One.
The Red Dragons let six players leave on free transfers during the 2024 summer transfer windows and several more players could face the same fate next year.
Wrexham triggered a Ryan Barnett contract extension that will keep him at the Racecourse Ground until 2026.
However, while the future of Barnett is sorted for the time being, six more stars are still out of contract in 2025.

Ollie Palmer is among the names due to leave Wrexham for free in 2025 and will be joined by Jack Marriott, James Jones, Jacob Mendy, Anthony Forde, Steven Fletcher and Mark Howard as things stand.
However, one Wrexham pundit has now sent a clear message to Reynolds and McElhenney over the future of the striker.
And while he was open to letting Palmer depart before 2024/25 began, Liam Grice, speaking to Football League World, has now stated that Palmer deserves another year on his contract.
He said: “As much as I think we’re now getting to the stage as a club where we need to be a little bit more ruthless with the players we’ve signed in previous years and not be too emotional when it comes to offering new contracts, Ollie Palmer has proved a lot of people wrong this season, including myself.
“If you’d have asked me this question at the start of the season I probably would have said let his contract run out and part ways with him, but the way he’s performed this season he’s really upped his levels.
“I think that he deserves maybe another year on his contract because, for what he’s put in this season, he deserves nothing less than another shot in League One for sure.”

Palmer has so far scored two and assisted one in 10 League One matches for Wrexham in 2024/25.
While that is not the best return, the 32-year-old does still play a crucial role for Parkinson, who prefers a striking partnership of one big, one little centre-forward.
Furthermore, Marriott is also out of contract in 2025 and Fletcher is now 37 years of age and past his best.
As a result, with Fletcher no longer good enough to start for Wrexham and Marriott also potentially on his way out, keeping hold of Palmer for one more year will allow Parkinson more time to search for more quality cover up top.
