Wrexham fans are still hoping to see a new striker arrive in the coming days and Sheffield Wednesday’s Bailey Cadamarteri could be the man.
Wrexham are on the cusp of starting the League One season and Phil Parkinson will be desperate to make a strong start.
Wycombe Wanderers are first up on Wrexham’s fixture list and Saturday’s clash at the STōK Cae Ras should be an exciting one.
Wrexham fans are delighted to be back in League One but there may be some disappointment over not signing a striker.
Excellent summer transfer business has been done but that new attacking addition has proven elusive.
Unless Wrexham can pull something out of the bag very quickly, Phil Parkinson will head into the new season with no new strikers in his ranks.

Wrexham given potential Bailey Cadamarteri boost
That feels incredibly frustrating given that Paul Mullin underwent surgery some time ago, even before confirmation arrived in early July.
Wrexham do still have some striking options but Parkinson certainly needs another option – even if Mullin is back soon.
One name in the mix for Wrexham is Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri.
Reports last week suggested that Wrexham want to sign Cadamarteri on loan amid major competition for his signature.
Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Stockport County, Dundee United and Motherwell have all shown an interest too.
Wrexham will hope to secure a striker like Cadamarteri and Sheffield Wednesday have secured a deal for a striker themselves.
Wednesday have confirmed the signing of striker Ike Ugbo, landing him on a permanent basis from French side Troyes.
Ugbo starred on loan with the Owls last season, hitting seven goals in 18 Championship games.
Wednesday have now signed Ugbo permanently in a deal worth around £2.5million, according to the Sheffield Star.
Ugbo bolsters Wednesday’s attacking ranks alongside the likes of Michael Smith, Callum Paterson, Josh Windass and new signings Jamal Lowe and Charlie McNeill.
Danny Rohl has plenty of strikers at his disposal now and a loan move for Cadamarteri is surely on the cards.
A full season of League One action should help his development and Ugbo’s move will give Wrexham hope of striking a deal for the young forward.
Two misses, one more available
Cadamarteri is an exciting talent at just 19 and Wrexham can offer him the chance to learn from experienced strikers like Mullin, Ollie Palmer, Jack Marriott and Steven Fletcher.
The teenager may be moving up Wrexham’s list of priorities as two attacking targets have gone elsewhere this week.
Wrexham were linked with a move to sign Kieran Bowie from Fulham last weekend, but that one has quickly fizzled out.
Bowie has completed a permanent move to Scottish side Hibernian, ruling out a switch to Wrexham.
John McAtee looks set to slip through the net too as the Barnsley forward prepares to join Bolton Wanderers.
Wrexham were keen on McAtee but a deal with Bolton is now imminent.
Cadamarteri isn’t the only target still live though as Wrexham have also made moves for Will Lankshear.
Much may depend on Tottenham Hotspur signing a striker but Lankshear may be allowed out on loan this summer.
Bowie and McAtee may have gone but Cadamarteri and Lankshear remain potential signings for Wrexham this month.
