Wrexham are on the verge of another big money transfer, with reports that the Dragons are about to sign Callum Doyle.
Already this summer, Wrexham have spent more than £20million on new signings, and it looks like Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are set to spend even more on the team.
Just last week, Wrexham signed Nathan Broadhead in a club record deal worth £10million from Championship rivals Ipswich Town.
And now it looks like Callum Doyle is set to arrive from Man City in another big money move.
On Tuesday, reports revealed that Wrexham are close to signing Doyle in an £8million deal from the Premier League giants.

Callum Doyle’s career so far ahead of proposed Wrexham move
Already this summer, Wrexham have signed nine new players. And Doyle looks set to become the 10th player to link up with Phil Parkinson’s side as they look to get going in the Championship.
The second tier is a league that Doyle knows very well having spent time on loan with all of Coventry City, Leicester City, and Norwich City in the last three seasons, amassing 98 total Championship appearances.
Doyle’s first loan spell away from City was with Sunderland. He helped the Black Cats win promotion from League One in 2022 and then won the Championship title with Leicester City in 2024.

Wrexham fans are buzzing with the Callum Doyle news
Needless to say, Wrexham fans are buzzing that the club is signing not only a player with quality and proven Championship pedigree, but a player who’s still so young – at 21 years old Doyle has plenty of potential.
One Wrexham fan wrote online: “Be great if signed before Saturday and therefore potentially started vs Wednesday, as it’s a huge chance to get first points and he can make huge difference in tightening the defence and with the attack we already have, it can kickstart the season.”
Meanwhile, other Wrexham fans simply wrote: “Would be some signing this”, “Would be massive”, and “Great signing”.
Another supporter posted: “The great thing about this Callum Doyle deal is the disappointment and anger in some cases from fans of other clubs. Big Championship and some Premier League fans seem a bit disgruntled that they were not in for him.”
Meanwhile, this Wrexham fan added: “Great player with huge potential for the future.”
Wrexham return to Championship action against Sheffield Wednesday at the Racecourse on Saturday.
