Wrexham enjoyed a productive summer transfer window but Phil Parkinson now appears to be closing in on another addition to his squad.

Arthur Okonkwo was the first signing of the summer, becoming a permanent Wrexham player after a superb loan spell.
Wrexham then beat Peterborough United to Lewis Brunt, adding the young Leicester City defender after impressing on loan Mansfield Town.
The deals kept coming as midfielder George Dobson, goalkeeper Callum Burton, wing back Sebastian Revan, defender Dan Scarr and midfielder Ollie Rathbone all arrived.
Wrexham close to new signing
Striker Modou Faal was the final signing of the window but fans were left with questions about one more potential signing.
Free agent midfielder Josh Adam appeared in the background of one training photo – an image later deleted by Wrexham.
Parkinson has confirmed Adam’s presence at Wrexham as the ex-Manchester City talent looked to impress in training.
Parkinson hinted at his interest in signing Adam, praising him for having ‘real talent’.
A deal now appears to be close as the Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan reports that Adam is poised to sign a two-year deal with Wrexham this week.
Wrexham have clearly been impressed with Adam and are now ready to make him a permanent fixture of Parkinson’s squad after impressing on trial.
Why Wrexham are signing Josh Adam
Wrexham have many seasoned professionals in Parkinson’s squad and especially in the midfield ranks.
George Evans, Andy Cannon, James McClean and Elliot Lee have bags of experience and so do new signings Rathbone and Dobson.
Adding a young talent for the future makes sense and Adam is even more attractive given his free agent status.
Adam has been brought up in elite academies at Celtic and Manchester City, showing real promise throughout.
The 20-year-old hit 11 goals and 10 assists in 43 Under-18 Premier League games and also racked up 39 appearances in Premier League 2.
City clearly rated Adam highly but allowed the Scot to move on at the end of last season.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Adam may be viewed as a player who can be developed into Lee’s heir as Wrexham’s attacking force from midfield.
Adam is a calculated punt; he won’t break the bank and if this doesn’t work out, Wrexham won’t have lost much.
If this move is a hit though, Wrexham could have a real star of the future in an absolute bargain deal.
