Wrexham are closing in on Paul Mullin replacement Brandon Hanlan with personal terms already reportedly agreed with the League One striker.
Paul Mullin was the undoubted star of Wrexham’s National League campaign last season, as the marksman netted 38 times on route to Wrexham lifting the title. Unfortunately for Wrexham and Mullin, he has missed the start of the new League Two season after puncturing his lung in a pre-season game against Manchester United in the US.

Wrexham close in on Paul Mullin replacement with ‘personal terms agreed’
Replacing Mullin’s output is nigh-on impossible, however, co-owner’s Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are dipping into the transfer market to bolster Wrexham’s attacking options.
The Red Dragons are on the verge of signing striker Brandon Hanlan from Wycombe Wanderers, with reports he had already agreed personal terms.
It’s expected that the two clubs will be able to strike a deal before the transfer window shuts at 11pm on 1 September.
Brandon Hanlan was left out of Wycombe’s latest matchday squad
The 26-year-old has plenty of League One experience, and has scored 12 goals in 85 appearances since joining Wycombe in August 2021. He has made over 200 appearances in League One during his career which includes stints at Charlton and Bristol Rovers.
Hanlan was left out of Wycombe’s matchday squad against Sutton United on Tuesday as a move to Wrexham inches closer.
On August 29, Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield said: “There is speculation but I want to say too much on that situation.
“We love him and I love him to bits, but there is obviously a reason why he wasn’t part of the squad this evening.

Mullin has returned to non-contact training
Mullin has missed the first five league games of the season and spent the first part of his recovery in an apartment in Long Beach, California.
He has since flown home with manager Phil Parkinson revealing he expected to have his star striker back “within weeks not months”.
And now, it’s been confirmed the goalscoring talisman has returned to non-contact training.
“Mulls is back on the training ground,” Parkinson said after Wrexham’s penalty shoot-out loss to Bradford City in the Carabao Cup. “Each day he gets stronger. He has had a long period of inactivity.
“But he is out back running on the training ground, doing unopposed stuff, finishing etc. He is looking good.”
