Wrexham have now been said to be interested in a shock move to sign Notts County star striker, Macaulay Langstaff this month.
It has been made no secret that Wrexham are interested in bringing some attacking reinforcements in this window.
This has been a great season for the Reds which has seen Phil Parkinson’s side maintain the best home form in the league.
In spite of this, there has still been rumours suggesting that the Reds could be interested in adding to their squad.
In a recent exclusive by HITC, there is a deal that could possibly made which would shock everyone associated with the club.
There have been links to experienced pros such as Jonson Clarke Harris in recent weeks. This is despite it being admitted that the January window is like “a game of poker“.
Now it appears that a move for another forward is on the cards despite interest from various different parties.

Wrexham interested in Macaulay Langstaff
The man who did his utmost to stop Wrexham from being automatically promoted last season. Macaulay Langstaff was a frustrating figure for the Reds last season, there is no doubt in that.
In a record-breaking campaign last season, according to FotMob, he managed to score 42 goals in just 48 games. A sensational return.
Parkinson had his own goal machine, Paul Mullin, who registered 37 National League goals while being the FA Cup Golden Boot.
In the end, both sides were promoted and got their crack at playing in the EFL in what was a tense and exciting title race.
Now it appears that the pair could be lining up together as a strike partnership in League Two for Wrexham.
It is safe to say that Langstaff has taken to life after promotion with ease. So far this campaign he has already bagged 20 goals and five assists in just 27 appearances. Yet another amazing return.
In a HITC exclusive from Graeme Bailey, he has revealed that ‘Birmingham City, Sunderland and Derby County are also amongst those who have shown an interest, as have County’s League Two rivals Wrexham.’
Parkinson and Co would certainly face some stern competition to land the Englishman but he could be so good for the Reds.
The report has suggested: “County will not let Langstaff leave cheaply though, and it is believed they want around £1.5million to let him go.”
Although this is a hefty price to pay, especially in January, he could prove to be the difference between automatics and play-offs.
This season hasn’t seen Wrexham struggle to score goals but can they afford to turn down the opportunity to add a 20+ striker?
This would represent a true statement of intent and show just what Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are made of.
