Wrexham are set for the biggest summer in Phil Parkinson’s reign.
Plenty of Wrexham’s squad will depart according to journalist Kevin Ratcliffe as Parkinson assesses what he needs in order to compete in the second tier.
Rob McElhenney wants to avoid ‘consolidation’ in the Championship and co-owner Ryan Reynolds agrees so it is expected the Wrexham owners will splash the cash in the transfer market.
Plymouth defender Maksym Talovierov is linked with a move to Wrexham amid interest in a number of players from the Red Dragons but the club have been told to ‘get involved’ in signing a star of League One this season.

Wrexham told to sign Jamie Donley from Tottenham Hotspur
Jamie Donley had an impressive loan spell at Leyton Orient and scored the winning goal at the Racecourse Ground in a 2-1 victory over Wrexham back in February.
The attacking midfielder is back with his parent club Tottenham Hotspur and according to journalist Charlie Haffenden, is being tracked by West Bromwich Albion amid his £1.5m price tag.
Wrexham fans and journalists on the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast Rich Fay and Nathan Salt have urged the club to try and sign Donley.
The number ten position has been vacant in Parkinson’s system for some time now and Donley would certainly provide a creative spark that has been needed at times this season.
Jamie Donley’s Leyton Orient record
Donley impressed during his loan spell at Orient and the highlight came in a defeat to Manchester City, where the 20-year-old struck an effort from near the halfway line that found its way past Stefan Ortega.
He has made 50 appearances for Richie Wellens this season and has contributed an impressive eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Wrexham’s midfield excelled in the promotion run in but the likes of Matty James and George Dobson will require further legs and creativity upon the step up to the Championship.
Donley could provide just that and at £1.5m, would represent real value in a market that is going to become more challenging for Parkinson and his recruitment team.
