Wrexham picked up a 1-0 win over Lincoln City on Tuesday evening, with one player really impressing.
The Red Dragons headed into the game knowing three points were needed if they were to keep pace with the other automatic-promotion chasers at the top of League One.
It was not the best display from Phil Parkinson’s men but when all was said and done, Wrexham beat Lincoln City 1-0 to secure a valuable three points.
The Red Dragons’ attack floundered on the day with Elliot Lee really poor vs the Imps.
But the home side eventually broke the deadlock at the Racecourse Ground in the 67th minute.
James McClean whipped a cross into the Lincoln box, which was then deflected into the net by an opposition defender.
McClean was voted Man of the Match versus Lincoln – a fair pick given the lack of quality on the night and his role in the winner.
But another Wrexham ace deserves credit for the impressive showing he put on during the tie.

George Dobson deserves praise after Wrexham vs Lincoln City
The man in question is George Dobson, who was deployed in a more advanced role by the Wrexham manager.
With Lee starting up top on Tuesday, the former Charlton Athletic star was asked to fill in for Lee as the most advanced midfielder on the night.
While it is not a position Dobson plays often, he was superb on the day, making some excellent darting runs and always looking to spread play out wide to Wrexham’s dangerous wing-backs.
Now, we have taken a look at the 27-year-old’s stats from the win over Lincoln via Sofascore and they are pretty impressive.

How many yellow cards has Wrexham midfielder George Dobson picked up this season
This is not the first time the Englishman has shone since his summer switch to Wales, with Andy Morrell naming Dobson Man of the Match vs Mansfield Town earlier this month.
The midfielder has been so crucial for the club in 2024/25, starting every single one of their League One fixtures and playing every minute – barring five minutes of the defeat to Stockport County.
However, Wrexham are now in danger of losing Dobson in the coming weeks.
This comes with the Harold Wood-born star having already picked up four yellow cards in the league this term.
One more in Wrexham’s next three fixtures and he will be forced to serve a one-match ban.
The Red Dragons are not in action this weekend due to the FA Cup, next lining out at home to Barnsley on December 3rd.
