We can’t wait for the Championship season to start, but until then we’re more than happy to sit and watch Wrexham vs Melbourne Victory as the Down Under tour begins.
The Wrexham squad have flown out to Australia for the first leg of the pre-season tour 2025, with two games there before a third in New Zealand.
These three games will be a great chance for Phil Parkinson to test the fitness of his players, give those on the fringes of the squad an opportunity to salvage their careers, and perhaps even tinker with different playing styles and formations.
There are plenty of things we’ll look out for during the upcoming game, but the main thing is ensuring we all have a way to watch Wrexham vs Melbourne Victory. So, here’s what we know.

Wrexham vs Melbourne Victory kick-off time
The first game of the pre-season tour takes place on Friday, July 11, with a 10:30AM kick-off for fans in the UK. Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium will host the game.
If you’re in the US, the game will kick-off at 2:30AM PT, 4:30AM CT, or 5:30AM ET. Essentially, if you’re watching from the US, you’re going to have to stay up pretty late (or wake up very early, depending on how you look at it).
How to watch Wrexham vs Melbourne Victory
For anyone in America braving those crazy kick-off times, you can watch Wrexham vs Melbourne Victory on the Paramount+ streaming service. The same applies for fans in Australia.
Meanwhile, Viaplay will be offering full coverage in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
There was a hope that fans in the UK would be able to catch the pre-season games via iFollow, as was the case last summer. However, there has been no confirmation that this is the case this year.
However, it does appear the game will be broadcast through Welsh terrestrial channel S4C, via this YouTube link.

Wrexham team news
We know all the names included in Phil Parkinson’s pre-season squad, but as for who will actually get minutes on Friday, that’s another matter.
It will be interesting to see whether Arthur Okonkwo remains between the sticks or if new signing Danny Ward gets the nod in goal.
All eyes will also be on the attacking line, with new man Ryan Hardie surely in line for some game time. Meanwhile, Ollie Palmer has one last chance to impress Parkinson as speculation over his future mounts.
There are some youngsters in the Wrexham tour squad who will be hoping to get some minutes under their belts, with Max Purvis, Alex Moore, Harry Ashfield, and Callum Edwards all included.
Andy Cannon is with the squad, but may still need some time as he continues his recovery from injury.
The only senior player not in the squad is Luke Bolton, who has remained at home after the recent birth of his child.
