Wrexham have promotion in their own hands with five games remaining as they face a trip to Wigan Athletic.
Wrexham’s 3-0 win over Burton Albion left the Red Dragons six points clear in second place in League One.
However, that gap was cut to three points following Wycombe’s 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town, whilst Charlton and Stockport are still in with an outside chance of the final automatic promotion place.
Wrexham have been warned of Wigan’s threat under their new manager Ryan Lowe but Phil Parkinson will be confident his side can once again find a way to secure three vital points.

George Dobson required stitches after a tackle from Charlie Webster but Dobson has played through pain before this season and should be fit to start in midfield.
Sam Smith was suffering from an illness before and during the last game but is expected to be fully recovered in time to face Lowe’s outfit.
Other than that, Parkinson is expected to name an unchanged side once again as his consistency in selection is paying off with positive results.

Wrexham won the first fixture between the two sides back in 1971 with a 4-0 victory at the Racecourse Ground in an FA Cup tie.
Since then, Wigan have the historical upper hand having won on 11 occasions against the Red Dragons compared to seven wins for Wrexham.
There have been eight draws between the two sides but Wrexham got the better of the Latics back in December 2024 with a 2-1 victory.
Steven Fletcher’s late strike was enough to secure an important three points for his side and they will be hoping for the same once again.
