Wrexham are set to face Norwich City this weekend, and the Canaries manager has addressed the challenge the Red Dragons can offer the home side.
Norwich City are yet to win at home this season in the Championship, and Liam Manning has spoken about how desperate he is to correct that this weekend against Wrexham.
Manning may be confident that Norwich can achieve this, as Wrexham have failed to win against the Canaries for 55 years.
However, ahead of the match, Manning has spoken glowingly about Wrexham, their journey and the challenge they will offer Norwich this weekend in the Championship.
Liam Manning believes Wrexham will be a ‘difficult’ challenge
Wrexham have not had a great start to the Championship campaign, as they have only secured four points from their opening five fixtures.
This has seen Phil Parkinson’s position as manager of Wrexham being questioned, with several individuals linked with the role.
However, speaking in the press conference ahead of the fixture with Wrexham, Manning still believes it will be difficult, as reported by the Pink Un and Norwich Evening News.

He said: “You look at their history and the last few years; they’ve done an incredible job. They’ve signed some real quality, and it’ll be difficult, but we’re playing at home, and we’ve got to dominate and make the game look how we want.
“They’re well-organised, physical, and hard to play against. We’ll never take any game lightly at any level. We’ll be ready.”
Norwich City’s desperation could benefit Wrexham
Parkinson and Wrexham will be fully aware that Norwich City are looking to secure their first home win in the Championship season.
This desperation may be their undoing, and Wrexham could use this to secure their second victory of the Championship campaign.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the Wrexham game, Manning addressed the desperation to secure a win at Carrow Road.
He said: “I’m desperate to get a win at home, but it doesn’t play on my mind. We’re pushing for that energy and that belief and that ability to take the initiative. I want that in all games – the plan wasn’t for Coventry to go the way it did. I don’t want to be a defensive team – I want us to play on the front foot and dominate. The quality wasn’t there on Saturday, but the players gave everything for the shirt.”
