Wrexham managed to earn a point at the King Power Stadium as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City.
It continues the Red Dragons’ fine away form in the Championship, as they have now earned seven of their nine points in the second tier this campaign on the road.
Phil Parkinson was proud of the performance of the Wrexham players as they battled hard to earn a result at the home of the 2016 Premier League champions and a club that were in the English top flight last season.
However, the boss of the Welsh side singled out the impact of one player in particular on the result of the game despite not playing a single minute in the game.

Phil Parkinson believes Conor Coady’s knowledge of Leicester City was ‘invaluable’
The England international was an unused substitute during the clash between the Red Dragons and the Foxes; that is, despite the Leicester City boss looking forward to facing Conor Coady.
Phil Parkinson has detailed to Leicestershire Live about the significant impact he made ahead of Wrexham’s clash with the 2016 Premier League champions, having left the King Power Stadium for the Racecourse Ground in the summer.
He said: “His knowledge about Leicester was very helpful for us today.

“We had Conor come in with us and the analysts yesterday, and he was talking through the individuals.
“As a staff, we’ve watched a lot of the players, and I was there Friday at West Brom, but having that extra insight as well was invaluable for us.”

Phil Parkinson is slowly moulding this Wrexham team to his liking
The Wrexham boss may have been in charge throughout the journey up the English pyramid and guided them to three consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship.
However, in the summer there were 13 signings made by the Welsh club, with Wrexham spending £33 million.
Now after a bit of time working with the squad, Parkinson has seen positive improvements since the draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday and the closure of the transfer window.

He said: “It’s another step.
“It’s another good strong performance from us at this level.
“We were better today in terms of getting control at times. We’ve come up against some good teams on our travels and done well.”
