Wrexham will turn their sights to Birmingham City after their latest result in the Championship against Leicester City.

The Red Dragons are still searching for their first win at the Racecourse Ground, and there will be a belief there is no better side to get it against than the Blues.

A rivalry between the pair was formed last season as they squared off in League One, as the clubs are owned by American celebrities, Wrexham by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac while Birmingham are partly under the stewardship of Tom Brady.

Battles have not just taken place on the pitch between the two clubs, but following their promotion they have also fought over the signatures of players, with the Welsh side getting some while the English club got others.

Koumas was a Wrexham target during the summer; however, he opted to leave Liverpool on loan for Birmingham for this current campaign.

Dilks said: “I just find some of his team selections to be a bit strange. First and foremost, I do not see what he sees in Lewis Koumas. He may turn out to be a great player, but right now I don’t see how he warrants a start every week.”

The Liverpool loanee has not had the desired impact at Birmingham since he made the move to the club in the summer in the five appearances he has under Davies.

He is yet to score or provide an assist for his teammates; however, the Blues have struggled to create chances this campaign.

Koumas’ stats indicate a player who is struggling to adapt to life in the Championship after leaving Liverpool.

The attacker may become a fine footballer at this level or higher; however, Wrexham and Phil Parkinson may be glad they did not bring him in, as they needed players to deliver right away to ensure they maintain their Championship status.
