Wrexham took on Leyton Orient in an away meeting at Brisbane Road on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Dragons are aiming to secure three straight promotions on the spin under Phil Parkinson.
Ahead of facing Leyton Orient, Wrexham sat top of League One but well aware anything but a win on Saturday could have seen them drop down the table with Birmingham City only behind them via goal difference.
Wrexham beat Crawley Town 2-1 in their previous league outing, keeping their superb home record alive.
However, this weekend’s trip was away from the Racecourse and Parkinson will have been keen to ensure his team did not drop any more points on the road after already losing one and drawing one when playing away this term.
Parkinson got a close look at Leyton Orient in midweek, going in person to watch them draw 2-2 with Peterborough United on Tuesday evening.
As a result, his side should have been fully prepared for any potential threat they could have faced from Orient.

Phil Parkinson must drop Wrexham star after poor showing vs Leyton Orient
Despite the large gap between these two sides in the table ahead of kick-off, Wrexham really struggled to get going on Saturday.
Orient more than held their own and actually ended the first 45 having dominated with 63 percent possession and six shots on goal.
Had it not been for the heroics of goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, the Red Dragons could easily have gone in behind at the break.
One player who was particularly poor versus Orient was defender, Ryan Barnett.
The right-wing-back has been impressive in the early stages of 2024/25 so far but he put on a rather dismal display this time around.
As per Sofascore, Barnett failed to connect with any of his crosses, lost possession 20 times, failed to complete a single dribble, and connected with just one of his seven attempted long balls.
It was a poor showing from the defender who Parkinson should now consider dropping.

Phil Parkinson already has perfect Ryan Barnett replacement
Barnett’s display against Leyton Orient was subpar but it should not worry Parkinson too much as his replacement is clear.
Wrexham signed Sebastian Revan from Aston Villa during the summer transfer window and he has excelled in his limited outings to date.
Parkinson praised Revan after the wing-back shone at both ends of the pitch when Wrexham drew 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers last month.
However, Revan was kept out of the team by Barnett in the Red Dragons’ following league fixtures.
The 21-year-old will have been itching to further prove himself to his new manager and Barnett’s display versus Orient has now opened the door for him to come into the team.
Wrexham are next in action on the evening of October 1st, facing off with Stevenage in a League One clash and it should be Revan, not Barnett, who starts the tie.
