Wrexham will take on Crawley Town this weekend and one Premier League talent will now be in action Phil Parkinson’s side.

Tuesday’s defeat to Stevenage means Wrexham’s unbeaten home record this season has now gone.
It’s also just four points in five League One games to start 2025, meaning Wrexham are losing ground in the automatic promotion race.
Phil Parkinson has hinted at changes against Crawley Town, with Wrexham heading back on the road this weekend to start February.
Wrexham have struggled away from home this season but Parkinson will want a fierce response after that Stevenage defeat.
Crawley Town secure Premier League talent ahead of Wrexham clash
The trip to Crawley Town this weekend will be another battle but the hosts are in dire form right now.
Crawley have taken just five points from the last eight League One games and sit 22nd in the table.
Tuesday’s win over Mansfield Town shows that Crawley can pose a threat though and Wrexham must be right at it after such a poor showing against Stevenage.
Crawley have made a key addition ahead of facing Wrexham though with Brentford goalkeeper Matthew Cox arriving on loan.
Cox started against Mansfield and kept a clean sheet on his debut, which is pretty much the dream start.
The England Under-20 international will be starting against Wrexham too and boss Rob Elliot – a goalkeeper in his playing days – will be backing Cox to take that form into this weekend’s game.
After 28 League One appearances on loan at Bristol Rovers last season, Cox is already up to speed at this level and will be the man trying to keep the likes of Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee at bay.

Wrexham will taken an interest in Matthew Cox deal
Crawley have been chasing a new goalkeeper and will be delighted to have signed such a highly-rated talent in Cox.
They did look elsewhere though and Crawley’s deal for Cox will surely have been recognised inside the STōK Cae Ras.
Earlier this week, Crawley were chasing Thimothee Lo-Tutala on loan from Hull City – a man Wrexham wanted to sign.
Lo-Tutala has been on Wrexham’s radar in recent months and was lined up for an emergency loan arrival in December.
The EFL wouldn’t allow that to happen though, despite Wrexham being without injured stoppers Arthur Okonkwo and Callum Burton.
Lo-Tutala attended Wrexham’s EFL Trophy clash with Crewe Alexandra but his move ultimately collapsed.
The Frenchman could have been playing against Wrexham this weekend but is instead left down the pecking order at Hull City with Parkinson still potentially keeping tabs on his situation.
Maybe Lo-Tutala is somebody Wrexham can target again, but with Okonkwo back and Brad Foster signing a new deal, this might be one which just never quite works out.
