Wrexham travelled to Millwall in search of their first win of the Championship campaign.
Phil Parkinson made three changes from the defeat at home to West Brom as Callum Doyle was handed his first league start and Liberato Cacace returned from injury.
Ryan Hardie replaced the injured Nathan Broadhead in attack and looked lively during a goalless first half with both teams giving nothing away.
Wrexham took the lead early in the second half as in-form centre forward Kieffer Moore rose highest in the box to squeeze the ball home.
A late injury to Danny Ward made it an anxious end to the game for the Red Dragons, however, a late strike from Lewis O’Brien made the game safe and secured a vital first win of the campaign.

Winners from Wrexham’s clash with Millwall
Conor Coady
Wrexham fans have been impressed by Conor Coady at the start of his career at the club and he continued to shine with an excellent display.
Coady marshalled the defence well and helped Parkinson’s side look a lot more solid than they have in previous weeks.
Experience shone through for Coady as he made some vital blocks and interceptions, as well as a number of brave headed clearances to preserve his side’s lead.
His range of passing from the back also caught the eye with a number of exquisite diagonal passes into wing-back Ryan Longman.
Max Cleworth
With the arrival of Doyle into the defence, many believe it is now a battle between Max Cleworth and Lewis Brunt for the final starting spot in the back three.
Cleworth got the nod against Millwall and did not let his manager down with a fantastic defensive display up against tough opposition.
The young defender was strong in the tackle, won a number of aerial duels against Mihailo Ivanovic and looked composed on the ball as always.
It was his cross that found Moore for Wrexham’s opening goal in the first real moment of quality going forward for the Red Dragons.

Kieffer Moore
Kieffer Moore was managing an ankle injury heading into the game and the knock appeared to catch up with the striker in the first half.
Moore was just half a yard off the pace throughout the game and struggled to hold anything up top for his side.
However, the striker showed his worth to this team with a brave header to open the scoring and notch his fourth goal of the week.
He got up above the on-rushing Millwall goalkeeper and guided the ball into the empty net to set Wrexham on their way for their first three points of the season.
Phil Parkinson
Parkinson’s Championship record is not the best and his style and tactics have been a hot topic of conversation during the first weeks of the season.
However, this was a typical Parkinson performance, solid in defence and took their chance clinically on the break when it came.
Will this style get Wrexham where they want to be this season? It remains to be seen but the manager absolutely deserves the plaudits for masterminding the Red Dragons’ first win in the second tier for 43 years.
Losers from Wrexham’s clash with Millwall
Nathan Broadhead
It has been a frustrating start to life at Wrexham for club-record signing Nathan Broadhead and it continued after he picked up an injury and missed the clash.
Craig Bellamy praised Broadhead ahead of naming the forward in his latest Wales squad but he is now likely to miss the upcoming internationals.
The extent of the problem is not yet known but Broadhead will be keen to get back playing and get his Wrexham career up and running sooner rather than later.
