Ollie Palmer began life after Wrexham by making his debut for Swindon Town in their League Two clash against Crewe Alexandra.
After three and a half years at the Racecourse Ground, it was an emotional exit as Palmer sent a heartfelt message to the Wrexham fans upon departing the club.
Rob McElhenney thanked Palmer for his service to Wrexham alongside co-owner Ryan Reynolds after the striker helped guide the Red Dragons to three successive promotions.
However, Palmer wanted regular first-team football this season and wasn’t part of Phil Parkinson’s plans. Here is how he fared on his debut for his new side.

Ollie Palmer makes substitute appearance in Swindon Town win over Crewe Alexandra
Palmer came on as a substitute in the 61st minute and immediately was involved in the action for Swindon.
He had a total of 23 touches in the match and was unlucky not to open his account when a powerful strike was well saved by the Crewe goalkeeper.
The striker combined well with his new teammates and in particular midfielder Gavin Kilkenny who saw a shot well saved after a one-two with Palmer.
It represents an excellent start for Palmer as his side ran out comfortable 3-0 winners and he will now be attempting to cement a regular spot as the focal point of Holloway’s attack.

Palmer is pleased to have joined Swindon as he looks forward to playing regular first-team football once again after his Wrexham exile.
Ian Holloway signed Palmer in a bizarre way after being contacted by the striker himself about his availability and knows he is signing a player experienced at this level.
