Wrexham’s wait for a Championship victory at home continues as they drew 1-1 with Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Dragons went ahead through a Lewis O’Brien opener before Ben Brereton Diaz scored an incredible equaliser to ensure that the wait for the Championship win at the Racecourse carries on.
Wrexham’s players impressed, particularly Issa Kabore, who got his third Championship assist of the season against Derby County.
While there were a lot of positives from the draw with the Rams, there was one worrying statistic to emerge from the game for Phil Parkinson to fix ahead of their clash with Leicester City.
Only one Championship club has dropped more points from winning positions to Wrexham
Parkinson will not be pleased to see that his side have lost seven points from winning positions already this season, having only played seven fixtures so far this campaign.
Only their most recent opponents, Derby, have lost more, as they have lost eight so far this campaign.
Dropping these points to the Rams this weekend means Wrexham’s 45-year wait for a win over Derby extends.
The Wrexham manager has seemingly fixed the leakiness of the defence with the addition of Dom Hyam in the centre of the defence, an issue earlier in the campaign.
He may look at this statistic as being the result of this poor defence and may believe fewer points will be dropped from winning positions as the Red Dragons move forward this season.
Phil Parkinson will take the positives from another statistic
While the Red Dragons boss will not be pleased with this statistic of dropping points from winning positions, he will point towards another one about a different one of their games thriving.

Wrexham are the only side to have scored in all seven of their opening Championship fixtures, and it is obviously their longest run doing it at this level since the rebranding of the second tier in 2004.
They are the only club to have achieved this in the Championship, as their next closest challengers with this stat were Derby County, who have scored in six of their opening seven fixtures.
