Wrexham clashed with promotion rivals Mansfield Town in a League One meeting on Saturday afternoon.
After back-to-back draws in the league, Wrexham were no doubt desperate to pick up a win this weekend.
Phil Parkinson watched his side slip out of the top two late last month following a controversial draw with Charlton Athletic that saw the home side handed a very late penalty to equalise.
The Red Dragons were back at the Racecourse this weekend, however, aiming to keep their unbeaten run going.
Fans have been crucial to Wrexham’s home record of late, which had seen them win nine and draw one of their last 10 before Saturday.
But with Mansfield Town only a point behind them before kick-off, the Welsh side knew they were in for a tough fixture and could have potentially even slipped out of the play-off places if they lost.

Wrexham fans make feelings on Ryan Barnett clear vs Mansfield Town
However, the home outfit took the lead after just seven minutes on Saturday when Ryan Barnett rifled in an effort from the edge of the box.
The right-back has been a constant attacking threat for Wrexham this season, assisting five in 12 before Mansfield.
And after netting his first league goal of the campaign on November 9th, Wrexham fans have taken to X/Twitter to shower Barnett in praise, with one fan drawing comparisons between the Englishman and Brazilian legend, Cafu.
They wrote: “Ryan Barnett is Cafu’s favourite player.”
Another Wrexham fan added: “One of the most improved players in the entire EFL. Absolutely balling.”
A third supporter wrote: “Ryan Barnett excellent player,” while a fourth fan exclaimed: “RYAN BARNETT I LOVE YOU.”
A fifth Red Dragons fan added: “The man of the season Ryan Barnett!!!”, with another writing: “BARNEY YOU LITTLE DANCER.”
“Remember when I used to watch him in a Solihull Moors shirt and I was adamant he could at least play in League One easily. Look at him shine now,” a seventh fan wrote.

Wrexham may fear losing Ryan Barnett
There is no question that Barnett has been Wrexham’s man of the season so far.
However, his superb form may, and seemingly already has, attracted some unwanted interest.
Championship duo Stoke City and Preston North End have been linked with Barnett recently and the former of that pair could make a move in the winter window.
Paul Heckingbottom suggested Preston could pursue a right-back in January, which would open the door to them making an approach for Barnett.
Whether or not he would be interested in a move remains to be seen, but the prospect of playing in the Championship is something that could tempt Barnett into leaving Wrexham.
