Wrexham weren’t able to secure all three points on Saturday afternoon, drawing 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham welcomed Bolton Wanderers to the STōK Cae Ras on Saturday just days after defeat to Peterborough United.
Phil Parkinson saw Wrexham collapse against Peterborough, throwing away a 2-0 lead in the EFL Trophy semi-final.
Wrexham missed out on a spot at Wembley and just couldn’t find the killer moment to beat Bolton on Saturday.
Tom O’Connor’s second-half miss proved crucial as Wrexham were left with a 0-0 draw against the play-off chasing Trotters.
The result means that Wrexham sit two points behind Wycombe Wanderers in the race for an automatic promotion spot in League One.

Steve Parkin on Wrexham’s Ryan Longman
There is little rest for Wrexham right now though as Parkinson goes back into battle once again on Tuesday night.
Wrexham travel to take on Huddersfield Town and Parkinson will be considering changes to his Wrexham lineup.
Parkinson has rotated his starting XI of late and one big decision comes at right wing back.
Ryan Barnett has been exceptional this season but Wrexham’s January signing Ryan Longman has started the last two league games.
Longman looked dangerous against Bolton on Saturday and is making a real case to keep his spot ahead of Barnett right now.
The new arrival has now been praised by Parkinson’s assistant Steve Parkin, who commented on Longman’s performance against Bolton.
Speaking to The Athletic, Parkin suggested that Longman grew into the game against Bolton but offered real ‘power and pace’ on the right flank.
Parkin added that Longman was causing real problems for the Bolton back line with a ‘really effective’ performance.
“I thought Longy grew into the game. He’s new to us, obviously. He’s been in and out of the team a little bit. But he’s a good lad who has power and pace,” said Parkin.
“I thought he had the young lad on the ropes second half. He used that power and pace to be really effective,” he added.
Wrexham competition at wing back growing
Longman’s form gives Parkinson quite the quandary at right wing back.
Barnett has been Wrexham’s star man for much of he campaign but found himself on the bench against Mansfield Town and Bolton.
Not only is Longman offering competition on the right side, but Sebastian Revan is taking his chance on the left.
James McClean was only fit for the bench on Saturday and Revan turned in another impressive performance.
Parkin praised Revan for making a strong impact and he could keep his place against Huddersfield.
Earlier this season, Revan was struggling to make a consistent impact on the left and Luke Bolton was a non-factor on the right.
All of a sudden, Parkinson now has real dilemmas in both wing back spots and his decisions against Huddersfield will not be easy.
