Wrexham travel to Shrewsbury Town for a League One fixture on Thursday, January 16th.
Wrexham will have had a 12-day break when they finally get back on the grass at New Meadow in midweek.
The Red Dragons last lined out on January 4th, facing off with Peterborough United and coming away with a 1-0 win thanks to a late goal from Steven Fletcher.
That result kept the pressure on second-place Wycombe Wanderers and after they lost to Huddersfield Town last week, Phil Parkinson’s team are now only outside of the top two via goal difference.
In a further boost, Wycombe have lost manager Matt Bloomfield to Championship outfit, Luton Town.
So, a win against Shrewsbury Town will pile the misery on Wycombe even further and see Wrexham close the gap on Birmingham City, whom they take on next week.
Here’s everything you need to know about Thursday evening’s fixture between Shrewsbury and the Red Dragons.

Wrexham team and injury news vs Shrewsbury Town
Wrexham were without a few of their regular starters for the 1-0 victory over Peterborough earlier this month.
Lewis Brunt and Elliot Lee picked up issues over the festive period while Ryan Barnett was surprisingly left out of the matchday squad.
Phil Parkinson has provided an update on the injured Wrexham trio this week, though, and there’s a chance they could all feature.
Elsewhere, Jack Marriott is working his way back to fitness after being sidelined all the way back in October.
Second-choice goalkeeper Callum Burton will miss the game, and potentially the remainder of the campaign, after being injured against Barnsley in December.

Wrexham predicted lineup vs Shrewsbury Town
Sebastian Revan started in Barnett’s place last time out and while he didn’t play terribly, he was nowhere near Barny’s level.
In turn, as long as the right-back has recovered enough, he is expected to reclaim his starting berth ahead of Revan.
The rest of the backline is likely to look similar to the one we saw at Peterborough, barring James McClean returning in place of Jacob Mendy.
Further forward, Parkinson has discussed starting Fletcher amid his superb run of form of late.
The Scotsman now has five goals off the bench in 2024/25 and given the form of Ollie Palmer, it makes sense for the former Sunderland ace to be given just his second League One start of the season.
Here’s how we think Wrexham will line up against Shrewsbury on Thursday evening.
Arthur Okonkwo (GK)
Max Cleworth, Eoghan O’Connell, Tom O’Connor
Ryan Barnett, Matty James, Andy Cannon, Ollie Rathbone, James McClean
Paul Mullin, Steven Fletcher
