Wrexham have seen a major increase in their squad value during the 2025 summer transfer window.

After winning promotion from League One, it was clear the Dragons needed to improve their squad a great deal.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have backed the club heavily on this front, most recently signing Callum Doyle in a deal that could be worth up to £7.5m.

In total, Wrexham have brought 10 new players to the Racecourse Ground in the last few months.

This, as expected, has seen their squad value increase a great deal.

Wrexham squad value vs Championship

Before the Championship season got underway, Wrexham had one of the lowest squad values in the second tier.

As expected, the three recently relegated sides topped the table, and still do.

However, with their best players being picked off, the likes of Southampton and Leicester City have seen their values go down.

Wrexham, on the other hand, have had a staggering 84% increase in the last month.

No other club in the division comes anywhere close to that, with Swansea City and Derby County both enjoying near 36% increases.

Wrexham transfer news

While the Welsh side have moved up to 15th, their squad value could still climb in the last week of the window.

Jordan James is wanted by Wrexham, just over a year after he left Birmingham City to move to France.

Elsewhere, Will Smallbone has been linked in the last couple of days with a £7.5m fee mooted.

Should one or both players join, the Dragons could climb into the top half of the table.
