Wrexham ace Paul Mullin has seen his game time and even his place on the bench heavily reduced in the last few months.
The striker, who has scored over 100 goals for the Red Dragons, missed the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign with an injury.
This saw Jack Marriott take his place in the Wrexham starting eleven, featuring alongside Ollie Palmer.
Marriott then suffered a long-term injury in October, and Paul Mullin began to see semi-regular action upon his return from the sidelines.
However, amid a poor run of form, Phil Parkinson began handing Elliot Lee and unthrodox role in the frontline alongside Palmer.
But since the end of the January transfer window saw Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez brought to the Racecourse Ground, neither Mullin nor his long-time strike partner have been featuring.

‘Rumours’ of Phil Parkinson and Paul Mulling falling out at Wrexham discussed
Palmer hasn’t been included in any of Wrexham’s last eight matchday squads, while Mullin has not played a single minute of League One football since the 3-2 defeat to Stevenage on January 28th.
The striker not featuring as much did make some sense initially given the new signings over the winter and his poor form in front of goal.
But the fact he hasn’t even been named on the bench in seven of the previous eight league games is pretty baffling.
Speculation over Mullin’s future at Wrexham has already been growing as he continues to be frozen out.
Now, when speaking on the Feast of Football podcast recently, former Wales international Iwan Roberts has been discussing rumours of a falling out between Parkinson and the number nine.
He said: “You get the feeling, and you hear little rumours that there’s been a falling out.
“Let’s be honest, he’s only got three goals himself this season. It’s the same with Ollie Palmer and he’s got three goals in 27 appearances.
He continued: “I just get the feeling that something must have happened for him not to be included in the match day squad. Whether there’s been a falling out or disagreement, we don’t know. It’s a sad situation.”
Phil Parkinson needs to address Paul Mullin decision
Wrexham are now at a pivotal point in their season with arguably their biggest game of the campaign coming up.
However, much of the attention this week has been on Mullin and why the striker is not even being named in squads.
Parkinson explained his decision to select Modou Faal on the bench against Reading, but there’s been little indication as to why the 30-year-old has been frozen out.
Should it continue to not be really addressed by the manager, it could become even more of an unwelcome distraciton for the club during their battle for promotiom.
