Wrexham striker Paul Mullin was always fully committed to one thing when he first joined the club.
After Wrexham clinched promotion to the Championship, it looks likely that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will make significant progress in the transfer window to ensure that the side are able to compete in the second tier.
The significant jump from League One to Championship will likely see Reynolds and McElhenney also let some players go, and one Wrexham star who could leave is Paul Mullin.
Mullin has reportedly attracted interest from Wigan Athletic, and the Dragons are supposedly happy to see their striker depart for the League One side.
Whilst Mullin’s contributions this season have been more limited, he will still go down as a Wrexham legend, something that was destined to be after the first thing he said when coming through the doors at the Racecourse Ground.

What Wrexham star Paul Mullin said about his family and money when he first joined
Mullin was brought into Wrexham shortly after Reynolds and McElhenney took over the club, with the striker being their first statement signing in the National League.
It is safe to say that Mullin’s decision to drop down the leagues received criticism from some, suggesting that he had only done it for the money. Mullin’s reply was very profound.
“In any job, if someone offers you more money, there is a bigger chance of you going there,” Mullin said, per The Athletic. “But the biggest factor for me was being able to see my little lad every night. I just couldn’t have been away from him again.”
Of course, on the surface, Wrexham legend Mullin has given the club the biggest moments in its recent history, but behind his exterior, he showed his class with such a comment, confirming that he rightly put his family first before anything.

Paul Mullin has already consolidated his place as a Wrexham legend
Whilst Mullin might have been playing at a level he could dominate, there is still no doubt that what he was able to do in the League Two and National League campaigns was astonishing, playing a crucial role in promotion for Phil Parkinson’s side.
Whether it was his effortless goalscoring or the fact that he unexpectedly turned into the face of Welcome to Wrexham, Mullin will go down as a legend at the club, and there is no doubt that Reynolds and McElhenney will commemorate that.
105 goals in 165 games is some feat for Mullin, and there is no doubt that we will see plenty more of him, whether that is for Wrexham or another club.
