Wrexham face Derby County on Saturday, and Rams manager John Eustace has been commenting on the Dragons.

Wrexham clash with Derby County in a 12:30pm BST kick-off on September 27, eyeing their third league win of the season.

The Welsh outfit picked up a huge 3-2 win over Norwich City in their last Championship match, moving them away from the relegation zone.

Derby County manager shares verdict on Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac

Wrexham spent £33m over the summer to bring 13 new players to North Wales

Eustace was quick to mention the high spending and how the Dragons have signed many quality Championship stars.

He also commented on the Wrexham project under Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, saying they have done ‘terrific’.

He said: “A really exciting project there and they’ve done terrific and they’ve adjusted quite well to the Championship already.

“So, we know it’s going to be a really difficult tie. They’ve spent a lot of money, brought in a lot of top-quality Championship players as well.

“So, really exciting game for us and we’re really looking forward to it.”

Derby County could be without Wrexham transfer target

Going into the clash, it looks as though Derby will be without a player that Wrexham were eyeing this summer.

The Red Dragons were interested in signing Owen Beck on loan from Premier League outfit Liverpool this summer.

However, the left-back opted to move to Pride Park instead, but he has been absent through injury in recent weeks.

Wrexham are expected to come up against two other summer targets, though, with Lewis Travis and Bobby Clark featuring heavily for Eustace this term.
